31 Samoan Chefs of the 16th Pacific Games Get Trained in Changsha
On March 11, the “China Aided Project to Provide Technical Assistance to Samoa for the Pacific Games 2019--Chef Training Class” opened in the Changsha Commerce & Tourism College (CCTC). It was commissioned by the Ministry of Commerce, and undertaken by the China Sports International Co., Ltd. and Hunan Sports Industry Group.
Thirty-one Samoan chefs will attend a 90-day training course in CCTC. They will learn catering services and cooking skills in preparation for the upcoming 16th Pacific Games.
As a part of the “China Aided Project to Provide Technical Assistance to Samoa for the Pacific Games 2019”, this training course is important to promote the implementation of the “Belt and Road” initiative and China-Samoa exchanges and cooperation in sports; spread Hunan cuisine culture; and, display Hunan’s new achievements in economic and social development.
CCTC attaches great importance to this training program and will provide Samoan chefs with excellent teaching team, good dining and accommodation conditions, and sound security services. It is hoped that through the training they can learn authentic Chinese cooking skills and food culture, and China-Samoa friendship will be further strengthened.
