Thai Students Learn Rail Transit Technology in Hunan
“The Hunan Vocational College of Railway Technology (HVCRT) has complete training facility, and good teachers,” Chonburi Technological College President Nitat Weeraphoprasit said, after the visit to and communication at the college for a few days. Chonburi Technological College wants to send more students here next year.
Recently, HVCRT’s first group of Thai students are from Chonburi Technological College. They will stay here for one-year rail transit technical training. Through the training, they will be competent to take up related posts in Thailand.
According to HVCRT President Dai Lianhua, these Thai students will have two-phase training. The first phase focuses on Chinese language, basic railway knowledge, railway service etiquette, and basic knowledge about Chinese culture. In the second phase, the students will be grouped for different subjects, including railway power supply, railway engineering, bullet train overhaul, and railway signal automated control. Apprenticeship system will be adopted to enhance their technical skills and operation ability.
“We have rich experience in international cooperation and education, and have fostered a number of railway technical personnel,” HVCRT Party Secretary Liu Jianfei said. He believed the Thai students will study hard to acquire rail transit competences, and contribute to the development of the Thailand’s rail transit industry.
