On November 13, Changsha subway’s first public baby-care room was unveiled at the Wuyi Square Subway Statio. The establishment of it was initiated by the Women & Children's Hospital of Hunan and the Changsha Metro Group. It aims to call for the public to care for mothers and babies, and give more understanding and help to pregnant and nursing mothers.
The baby-care room is divided into two parts: the public wash & care area and the private breastfeeding area. The wash & care area is quite spacious, bright, and fully-equipped; and the breastfeeding area has two independent sections to protect privacy.
In addition to comfortable sofas, chairs, and shelves, the electronic touch screen and real-time connecting devices for online consultation service are also installed. Mothers can get access to the knowledge and skills about maternal and infant health care, breastfeeding, and child care through smart electronic touch screen while breastfeeding. If there are any questions about maternal and infant health care, they can connect to the online consultation service platform to get timely answers and help.
