122 High-Speed Trains to Be Launched for Express Delivery
On November 11, the China Railway Guangzhou Group announced that it will launch the "Double 11" e-commerce express delivery service at the high-speed railway stations including the Changsha South Railway Station from November 11 to November 20. During the period, 122 high-speed trains will be operated daily for express delivery. It is estimated that a total of 28,700 packages will be delivered, with a total volume of 1,985 tons.
High-speed rails participating in the express delivery service mainly operate between the lines of Guangzhou South to Changsha South, Shenzhen North to Changsha South, and Changsha South to Hefei South. Packages are mainly stored at the large luggage storage area, the rear of the last row of seats, and express cabinets of the high-speed trains. Twenty-five high-speed trains with a passenger load factor below 60% will reserve one second-class carriage for express delivery.
