International Meditation Summit Forum 2018 Opens in Changsha
On September 12, the International Mediation Summit Forum 2018 was held in Changsha. It was hosted by the Chinese Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT). It was undertaken by the Commercial Legal Service Center of the Chinese Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the Hunan Provincial Council for the Promotion of International Trade. There are lots of institutions participated in the forum organization, includes:
Hunan Provincial Higher People's Court;
Hunan Lawyers Association;
Indian Lawyers Association;
The Dispute Resolution Department of the American Lawyers Association;
The Malaysian Lawyers Association;
Thailand Arbitration Center;
Singapore International Mediation Center.
Vice President of the Supreme People's Court Luo Dongchuan, Vice President of CCPIT Lu Pengqi, and Deputy Governor of Hunan Province He Baoxiang, attended the opening ceremony of the forum and delivered speeches.
The theme of the forum is “Research on Negotiated Dispute Resolution Mechanism”. More than 400 legal and mediation experts from China, the United States, the United Kingdom, Italy, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, India and other countries participated in the discussion on various topics. Dozens of guests spoke at the forum.
During the forum, the Mediation Center of CCPIT signed a cooperative memorandum with the Thailand Arbitration Center and the British CCI Credit Management Company respectively. The Hunan Provincial Higher People's Court and CCPIT signed a cooperative memorandum on “suing and mediation”. The move will promote the development of export-oriented economy of Hunan Province.
