2018 China (Hunan) International Rail Transit Expo to be Held in Changsha and Zhuzhou

The 2018 China (Hunan) International Rail Transit  Expo & Summit Forum (the Expo) press conference was held in Beijing on August 16, 2018. It announced that the Expo will be held in Changsha and Zhuzhou between November 14 and 17. The Expo, with a theme of "Rail Transit Changes the World", will be organized by the China Railway Society, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Hunan Sub-council, the Changsha Municipal People's Government, and the Zhuzhou Municipal People's Government. 

It is planned that the exhibition area will cover 50,000 square meters. It is to display innovative achievements and products of the whole rail transit industrial chains at home and abroad. Hundreds of foreign dignitaries and commercial representatives from nearly 30 countries and regions, and over 10 national railway corporations will attend.

The Expo will promote the development of equipment industry, which was led by rail transit. It will contribute to the innovation-driven development and the upgrading and transformation of economic structure of the following related supply chain industries:
Construction engineering;
Vehicle manufacturing;
Electrical equipment;
Electronic communication; and,
International engineering contraction.

It will also promote the development of rail transit industry and help China's transportation equipment manufacturing industry to become internationalized. By then, nearly 200 domestic well-known rail transit enterprises will work together to show the fruitful achievements of China's rail transit industry to the world. Foreign well-known enterprises such as Paris Metro, France AREP, and Swiss ABB will also attend.

A number of high-end forums and professional technical seminars, such as the “Belt and Road” Roundtables Summit on High-speed Rail International Cooperation, will be held. Academicians, experts, industry leaders, government leaders, ambassadors to China, and China’s ambassadors to other countries will attend the event in Hunan. They will exchange ideas on the leading edge of industries, and provide their advice and suggestions on the development of China's rail transit industry.
