Miniature model shows four-season scenery in CSU

Fragrant flowers in spring, luxuriant woods in summer, fallen leaves in autumn, and white snow in winter...... As the end of term approaches, a group of junior students majoring in Urban and Rural Planning from the School of Art and Architecture in Central South University show vividly the beauty of their university in four seasons with a model. Under the guidance of their teacher, 40 students spent nearly two months building up the model. From the "four-story" building shell to the "four sets" of lighting system, from the pigment to the grass, the miniature models after the miniature landscape of Hamburg in German and soon becomes an "online sensation".


In an elective course of "Urban Planning Model Making" of Central South University this semester, Yang Fan and Zhao Mingqiao from the School of Architecture and Art junior guided students majoring in urban and rural planning to make the planning model for the core area of CSU old campus. The 40 students were divided into five groups. They could team up of their own accord and conduct independent planning. The whole process from the initial field measurement, material selection, test of monomer model to the final holotype making spanned half a semester. Eventually, 5 sets of works were successfully released. Works from four different groups happened to represent four seasons of the year.
