Enhancing Hunan-Taiwan cooperation for mutual benefits
13th Hunan-Taiwan Cooperation Conference on Economy and Trade and the 2nd Cross-Straits E-Information Expo to be held in Changsha from Nov 16 to 20.
It’s learned from the press conference held by the Information Office of Hunan Provincial People’s Government that the 13th Hunan-Taiwan Cooperation Conference on Economy and Trade and the 2nd Cross-Straits (Changsha) E-Information Expo will be held in Changsha from Nov 16 to 20. Li Lixi, Pu Zuquan, vice director of Taiwan Affairs Office of Hunan Province and Tan Xiaoping, member of Changsha CPC Standing Committee and head of the United Front Work Department of Municipal CPC Committee attended the press conference.
Since 1992 when the Taiwan-funded enterprise Want Want Group first entered Changsha, the city now has granted 648 Taiwan enterprises, which has invested $4.7 billion in such areas as food processing, e-information, equipment manufacturing, modern logistics and quality agriculture. Over 30 Taiwan listed companies and famous enterprises have settled in Changsha thus enabling Taiwan retain its 2nd position in overseas investment in Changsha.
