All unlicensed schools to be eliminated
Illegitimate childcare centers and kindergartens died and then existed again. How to regulate private education and create a healthy and positive private education environment? On Nov 8, Changsha held the meeting on eliminating all unlicensed schools, which required that related departments check on all unlicensed schools, analyze varieties of difficulties encountered, and promote the regularity check on unlicensed schools. The elimination will be included in the performance evaluation of governments. Chen Zhong, deputy mayor attended the meeting and gave a speech.
In order to meet the requirement, the Management Committee of Changsha High-Tech Zone and government of all districts and counties will carry out at least 2 law-enforcement activities each year, whose focus will be put on the checking of those childcare centers or kindergartens that do not meet the requirement of setting-up, having safety problems yet refusing to rectify, operating illegally thus leading to complaints and creating very negative impacts on the media. Those will be eliminated. What’s more, governments of all districts and counties will mobilize the deployment, r utilizing the medium to publicize related laws, requirements and policies, releasing on time the checking results and the blacklist of unlicensed schools, and calling on the public to report on the illegitimate running of or refusing to enter those centers or kindergartens. Changsha will start coordinated law-enforcement activities in the second half of November.
At the meeting, Chen Zhong expressed that education was the key to improving people’s life. Changsha will strengthen efforts in punishing and eliminating unlicensed childcare centers or kindergartens according to related laws, regulations and policies, carrying out inspection and making registration first before eliminating unqualified schools, releasing unlicensed schools to the public and protecting the rights and interests of legitimate institutions.
