Over 1600 illegally-parked sharing bicycles had been handled
It was learned from Changsha City Urban Administrative and Law Enforcement Bureau on Oct 8 that over 1600 illegally-parked sharing-bicycles had been handled and more than 8000 sharing bicycles had been towed away temporarily.
On the evening of Oct 2nd, quite a number of citizens and tourists heading for Orange Island unlawfully parked sharing bicycles on the sidewalk of Orange Island Bridge. Hundreds of illegally-parked sharing bicycles stretched for about one kilometer, making it hard for people to walk on the sidewalk. To deal with this, the urban management department in Tianxin District immediately contacted the sharing-bicycle companies and transferred those illegally-parked sharing bicycles overnight. In the following days, more people were assigned to key areas like Orange Island Bridge and Wuyi Central Business District and illegally-parked sharing bicycles were removed promptly. During National Day holidays, many volunteers wearing red armbands gave Changshaers advice in a civilized way and regulated the parking order at scenic spots like the Yuelu Mountain.
According to the City Urban Administrative and Law Enforcement Bureau, the urban management departments in Changsha have focused more on the management of illegal behaviors that affects urban environment and order like disorderly peddling, outdoor business operation, on-road parking (including sharing bicycles) and illegal promotions during National Day holidays. Statistics show that over 6800 illegal behaviors have been rectified, including more than 160 cases like littering and spiting, setting up stands illegally, outdoor business operations and illegal dregs transportation.
