High temperature lingers in Hunan in the coming week
Fine weather has recently been sustaining at a very high temperature in Hunan province. As the Provincial Meteorological Observatory detects, Hunan’s mean maximum temperature reached 35.2℃ from 8 am on July 15 to 8 am on July 16. The highest temperature of 70 cities and counties, including Zhangjiajie, Xiangtan and Hengyang, hit above 35℃, and that of Yiyang, Taoyuan, Anhua and Hanshou reached 37℃ or above. To this end, a number of cities and prefectures in Hunan province issued a yellow- or orange-coded high-temperature alert on Sunday. It is expected that Hunan will see no significant rainfall in next week, with continuous hot and sunny day in most areas. The high temperature on Monday rises further, generally reaching 35℃ to 37℃, local areas about 38℃. From the evening of July 18 to July 20, the showery weather will for a while contain the lingering high temperature; the heat, however, will reoccur soon.
According to the Changsha Meteorological Observatory, the city’s daily maximum and minimum temperature lines will basically have no fluctuation in next week, with the maximum staying at 35℃ to 37℃, the minimum at 28℃ to 29℃.
