According to Jinxia Economic Development District Management Committee, it has stably pushed ahead with a specific project to remove solid walls and embark on afforestation for 30 days, which has made great progresses at the present stage. As of May 16, solid walls of 26,158 meters have been removed. Besides, the green area restored or newly added has increased by 19,332 square meters, highlighting the “green effect”.

Toward the north of Xiangjiang Road, both sides feature a great expansion of green belt, which has replaced walls surrounding construction sites and plants. At the construction site of second-phase project for Central China (Hunan) Import and Export Commodities Exhibition and Trading Center located at eastern Xiangjiang North Road, the principal Qu Wenqi pointed to a green belt, and told the reporter that it has brought broad horizon and better environment for them. Reportedly, a two-meter-high solid wall was built to surround the construction site in 2013. But, recently, the 350-meter solid wall has been broken down. In addition, a green belt with a width of 10 meters has also been completed with an investment of 500,000 yuan, which integrated the construction site with Xiangjiang North Road.

Also, it has been noticed that sward has been used to replace solid wall surrounding PERFLY-BIO Co., Ltd, which was newly established at the eastern Zhongqing Road.

“The solid wall of about 300 meters has been completely removed. After that, we will press on with afforestation.” The vice general manager Cheng Jing introduced.

Jinxia Economic Development District launched the project to remove solid walls and embark on afforestation in April. 36 out of 43 solid walls have been broken down and replaced by green belts, while the rest are being improved.
