Metro Line 6 Strives for 4 Shield Tunneling Within 2017
On Feb. 15th, a signing ceremony was held for “investment plus general contracting” of Changsha Metro line 6 from Wenchang Pavilion to Dongtun du (downtown area section) underground supporting project construction. Metro line 6 is a subway route with the largest span and the most transfer stops covering area widely in Changsha rail transit network, currently, Changsha Metro Group Co., Ltd. Line 6 Construction Company, China Communication Construction and First Highway Engineering Co., Ltd. of CCCC signed supporting project construction “investment plus general contracting” contract, which is of great significance for promoting Metro line 6 to achieve the overall project objectives. According to the contract, the supporting project construction lasted for 33 months, and planned to be completed in September of 2019.
Reportedly, in construction and operation mode, Metro line 6 will be the first line operated through using PPP (Public-private Partnership) in Changsha. Metro line 6 from Wenchang Pavilion to Dongtun du (downtown area section) underground supporting project construction was launched in December 28th of 2016. In January 10th of 2017, the first underground tunneling of Metro line 6 Furong Middle Road Station proceeded successfully, marking Metro line 6 officially started. According to the plan, Metro line 6 from Wenchang Pavilion to Dongtun du (downtown area section) underground supporting project six intervals in seven stops will strive for 4 shield tunneling within 2017; thus to complete the main structure of Furong Middle Road Station; 80% of the main structure of Martyrs Park Station, 50% of the main structure of Yingbin Road Station, ChaoYang Cun Station; part of earthwork excavation of Wenchang Pavilion west end shield tunneling and start construction of the main structure.
