Hunan-Greater Bay Area Industrial Transfer Summit Forum Opens
A Summit Forum Promoting Industrial Integration between Southern and Western Hunan Industrial Transfer Demonstration Zone and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (Greater Bay Area) was held in Shaoyang between July 29 and 31.
Hunan Panyun Data Center to Put into Use
The photo above, taken on July 26, shows equipment installation and debugging at the Hunan Panyun Data Center have been completed. The center will be put into use at the end of the month. The center is located in Yuelu High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, Changsha City, with a total investment of 400 million CNY. It is the only data center in Hunan that has the Uptime Tier III Design certified.
Hunan to Develop Steel-Structure Prefabricated Homes
The Chinese Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development (MOHURD) recently designated Hunan as a pilot of developing “steel-structure prefabricated homes” for three years. Cities of Changsha, Zhuzhou, Loudi, Shaoyang, and Jishou; Xiangyin County; and, Changde West Dongting Lake Management Area are included in the pilot project.
129,200 Enterprises Founded in 2018
The 2018 Hunan Youth Entrepreneurship Analysis Report was released on July 16. It shows that in 2018, Hunan’s youth has high entrepreneurship enthusiasm. The number of young people investing in or establishing enterprises is 191,600, accounting for about 74% of the provincial total entrepreneurs. A total of 129,200 enterprises were established, accounting for 82.1% of the total entrepreneurial enterprises in the province.
Hunan Foreign Trade up 40% in H1
The Changsha Customs announced on July 15 that Hunan’s import and export volume was 182.3 billion CNY in the first half of 2019, up by 40.1% from the same period last year. The growth ranked second in the country. In June alone, Hunan’s foreign trade totaled 40.93 billion CNY, an increase of 61.6%.
