Changsha’s Foreign Trade Hits 100 Bln CNY in First 7 Months
The Changsha Customs announced on August 14 that Changsha’s foreign trade volume reached 102.39 billion CNY in the first 7 months this year, an increase of 62% over the same period last year. The growth rate was 16 percentage points higher than the provincial level.
Hunan’s NEV Industry Development Accelerates
So far, Hunan has 13 new energy vehicle (NEV) manufacturers, including BYD Changsha, Zotye Auto Changsha factory, CRRC Electric Vehicle, and Changfeng Group; and, a battery material industrial cluster with the widest range of products in China. A complete NEV industrial chain has formed. Between January and May this year, the province’s NEV output increased by 622.13% over the same period last year.
Changsha Ranks 14th Among Top 100 Chinese Cities by GDP
The list of top 100 Chinese cities by GDP was announced recently. Five Hunan cities made the list, including Changsha, Yueyang, Changde, Hengyang, and Zhuzhou. Changsha’s GDP reached 55.38 billion CNY in the first half of this year, with a growth rate of 8.2% and ranking 14th on the list.
Hunan Has Two More Foreign Trade Bases
The Ministry of Commerce (MOC) recently announced the 2019 newly-approved national foreign trade transformation and upgrading bases list. Hunan added two such bases – the Changsha Economic and Technological Development Zone (engineering machinery); and, the Ningyuan County (shoes).
Hunan Foreign Trade Up 46% in First 7 Months
The customs statistics shows that, between January and July this year, Hunan’s total import and export value was 224.53 billion CNY, increasing by 46% over the same period last year. The growth rate is much higher than the national level. The exports totaled 157.99 billion CNY, up 63.1%; and, the imports was 66.54 billion CNY, up 16.9%.
Mutual Development of Fish Farming and Photovoltaic Power...
