The Hunan government carried out an evaluation of its business environment in 2019. A provincial government executive meeting held on December 31, 2019 announced the evaluation results. It presented that Hunan’s business environment keeps improving, and enterprises and the public’s sense of gain continues to rise. Among all the 13 cities and one prefecture, Changsha, Changde, and Yueyang made outstanding performances.
Changsha sped up approval procedures for business start-up, credit service, and enforcement of contracts. Changde made remarkable achievements in application for building permits, enforcement of contracts, tax payments, and cross-border trade. Yueyang delivered good results in real estate registration, electricity service, and enforcement of contracts.
The evaluation was independently conducted by the National Bureau of Statistics Survey Office in Hunan. Nine first grade indexes including approval procedures for business start-up, application for building permits, electricity service, real estate registration, tax payments, cross-border trade, credit service, enforcement of contracts, and government service, and 41 second grade indexes have been measured from the aspects of handling procedures, duration, charges, and required materials.
