CGT sets roots in Changsha
China Greatwall Technology Group (CGT) unveiled the nameplate for its operations headquarters in Changsha CEC (China Electronics Corporation) Software Park on Dec 5.
It marks the first step for CGT to set its roots in the central Chinese city, according to company Chairman Jin Hongrong. CGT will continue to increase investment in Changsha in aspects of headquarters construction, setting up branches and subsidiaries and launching major projects.
CEC, parent company of CGT, signed a cooperation framework agreement with the Changsha government in July, 2015 to establish a new company at Changsha High-tech zone by reshuffling its four key subsidiaries: China Greatwall Computer Shenzhen, Greatwall Information Industry, Wuhan Zhongyuan Electronics Group and Beijing Shengfeifan Electronic System Technology Development.
In March this year, the new company was renamed CGT, with its core business committed to network security, military electronics for civilian use, and independent and controllable critical infrastructure and solutions.
Changsha Mayor Chen Wenhao said that CEC has always been a strategic partner of Changsha and has deepened its strategic cooperation with the Hunan province capital in recent years, especially in the fields of electronic information, smart manufacturing, and health care.
The site selection for CGT's headquarters in Changsha demonstrates the city's huge development potential and will prove a boost to Changsha building a national hub for smart manufacturing and developing headquarters economy, Chen added.
In 2016, CGT registered operation revenue of 9.1 billion yuan ($1.38 billion) with total assets of 14.6 billion yuan.
