Yuhua Economic Development Zone
Changsha Yuhua Economic Development Zone (former Hunan Environmental Protection and Technological Industrial Park) is a provincial development zone approved by the Hunan Provincial People’s Government. It has a planned area of 23 square kilometers, and is located in the southeast of Changsha. It is the geometric center of the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan City Cluster, and a platform for the economic integration of the three cities. It is a national new-type industrialization demonstration base (automobile industry), the world's largest manufacturing base of new energy vehicles, and the only robot industry cluster in Hunan.
So far, more than 2,000 companies have settled in the zone. The zone has formed a complete industrial system, with new energy vehicles (NEVs) and spare parts as its pillar industry and artificial intelligence (AI) and robots as its featured industry. This made it distinctive among Changsha’s industrial zones and parks.
In 2018, its comprehensive evaluation ranked fourth among 133 industrial parks in the province and ranked first among provincial parks in the province.
