The Hunan Provincial People’s Government Information Office held a press conference on December 30, 2019. Xiong Chen, chief economist of the Department of Industry and Information Technology announced the National Cyberspace Security Industrial Park (Changsha) was approved recently. Hunan thus become the second of its kind after Beijing.
According to the National Cyberspace Security Industrial Park (Changsha) Development Plan, the innovation capabilities of Hunan provincial cyberspace security industry must be strengthened; a number of national R & D institutions established; a batch of major scientific and technological projects transformed; and, a group of high-end talents introduced and cultivated. This would help expand and shape the industrial ecology; form a collaborative and innovative networking system for production, study, research, and application; assemble the upstream and downstream enterprises in the industrial chain; and, introduce and establish a batch of national industrial public service platforms.
The industrial scale will be increased significantly. By 2025, the industrial scale of the National Cyberspace Security Industry Park (Changsha) will exceed 100 billion CNY, which will result in: Hunan’s cyber security-related industries scale will exceed 200 billion CNY; leading enterprises’ competitiveness will be significantly enhanced; core technology plays a leading role in the national network security industry pattern; and, it will provide a strong support for the construction of a network powerhouse.
