The ninth Qiaomengyuan in China was set up in the Changsha National High-Tech Industrial Development Zone in May of this year to serve as a bridge between overseas Chinese professionals and China. It is hoped that the area will encourage Chinese professionals to work and start businesses in Changsha.
Agreements were signed between Changsha Qiaomengyuan and seven associations of overseas Chinese professionals, including the Association of Chinese-American Scientists and Engineers, the Chinese Association of Science and Technology in Finland and the Chinese Alumni Associations of Greater Washington DC.
