Changsha National Economic and Technical Development Zone
Located in the eastern suburban Xingsha of Changsha City, Changsha National Economic and Technical Development Zone was founded in 1992. In April 1997, it was approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology as Changsha National Economic and Technical Development Zone Xingsha Hi-Tech Industrial Park and approved by the State Council in February 2000 as national level economic and technical development zone. It is one of the national level economic and technical development zones under direct leadership of the Ministry of Commerce and is also a national level hi-tech industrial park.
CETDZ has been insisting on the concept of “Be close to investors, secure investors and enrich investors” to provide high efficient and quality services to investors. It is awarded the first Demonstration Zone and Evaluation Point for Optimized Economic Development Environment in the province.
The unique location advantage, consummate infrastructure, quality service and favorable policies of CETDZ has attracted investors from China and abroad. CETDZ has become an attractive place for famous Chinese and multinational companies in Hunan. Fortune 500 companies including LG, Philips, Danone, Mitsubishi, Nissho Iwai, Coca Cola, Pepsi, Bosch, Electrolux, NEC and etc. have invested here. Famous domestic companies including Sany Heavy Industry, Foton, Changfeng Motors, Broad Air Conditioning, Golden Shine Color Printing, Sunward and Lyrun New Materials are located here and are developing rapidly.
As of today, a multi-element development structure in the backbone of advanced manufacturing industry and electronic information industry with supplement of new materials, bioengineering, food and beverages, printing and packaging and equipped with modern logistics services has been formed in the development zone and is developing into an industrial cluster.
After being promoted to national development zone, CETDZ has been remaining a 40% increase ration every year and developing rapidly. Its annual industrial output value accounts for 1/3 of total industrial output value of Changsha city and import and export value accounts for 1/2 of total import and export of Changsha. An industrial output value of Rmb 3.5 billion and revenue of Rmb 180 million are realized on every square kilometer of land here and unit land output ratio tops in the central and west regions.
