    According to the Customs Law of the People's Republic of China and PRC Customs'Supervision and Management on Inward and Outward Passengers'Luggage.The baggage carried by inward and outward passengers shall enter or leave the territory where Customs office is available, and must be declared to Customs officers as obligated.In doing so, the passenger may be charged under the Laws of China.

    To facilitate international travel, many countries exempt each other's citizens from visa requirements.The following foreign nationals are granted visa-free entry into mainland China. .At present, China has mutual visa exemption agreements with 53 countries, including Cuba, Mexico and Venezuela.Under such agreements, holders of non-private ordinary passports, such as diplomatic passports and service passports.Citizens of Japan, Singapore and Brunei holding a regular passport are granted visa-free stay in China for up to 15 days.

  • Visa Replacement and Extension Procedures

    A foreign visitor whose passport is lost or stolen should provide a certificate issued by the entry and exit department of the local public security bureau or a statement from the embassy or consulate of his or her home country in China proving that his or her passport has been lost or stolen. .Fill out the visa extension or visa change application form.Provide a certificate justifying the reason for the visa extension or change.

    Excerpt from"RULES FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF THE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA LAW ON ENTRY AND EXIT CONTROL OF ALIENS".Submit a report to the local public security organ with their passport and other certificates and the host's residence booklet, fill in the registration form of temporary accommodation, and within 72 hours of their arrival in the countryside.The failure to go through the registration procedure for getting accommodation or to submit a report to the public security organ for lodging registration, or for providing accommodation to an alien who does not hold any valid certificate.
