Foreigner who loses passport in Changsha
Foreigners who lose their passports in Changsha should bring proof their passport loss issued by the population and exit and entry management department to their embassy in China for a new exit and entry certificate.
1, Valid proof of identity for living abroad (such as ID card, driver's license, work permit, seaman's book, and social security card) and corresponding photocopy;
2, Passport loss proof issued by local public security organ;
3, Publish passport cancellation in newspapers and periodicals at municipal level or above;
4, Personal written material (applicant's identity and detailed passport loss process materials signed by applicant);
5, Two recent two-inch half-length, bareheaded and full-faced photos;
6, Temporary Accommodation Information Registration Form and its photocopy at local police station or hotels in network with exit and entry management department;
7, A foreigner who is employed or invited by a company should present an introductory letter from the company or a travel agency;
8, Other materials the public security organ thinks necessary to submit.
Matters needing attention:
Time limit for getting the certificate: Seven working days if all materials are in place, excluding time for investigation.
