International Sister Cities of Changsha

(including those who have signed letter of intent to build sister city relationship) 

Changsha has, concentrating on economic and social development as well as enterprise’s “going global” strategy, continually optimized friendly-city distribution worldwide, and expand friendly relations with countries and regions along the “Belt and Road” initiative, in order to promote Changsha’s international associations. Changsha has established friendly-city relationship or economic and trade cooperation with 49 foreign cities of 30 countries by the end of June 2018, including 19 at provincial level, 26 at city level, and 4 at county level. Changsha’s sister cities include 12 American cities, 2 Japanese cities, 2 Italy cities, 2 Finland cities, 2 Sri Lanka cities, 2 Brazi cities, 2 Netherlands cities, 2 Germany cities, 2 Australia cities, and 21 cities from Congo, Singapore, Switzerland, Belgium, South Korea, New Zealand, South Africa, Uganda, Malaysia, Russia, Austria, Philippines, Kampuchea, Canada, Iceland, Belarus, Romania, Sweden, Cyprus, Ethiopia and French respectively. About 37% of sister cities is distributed in Europe, 31% in America, 18% in Asia, 8% in Africa, and 6% in Oceania.
