    The 2020 annual meeting of the China Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (CSIAM) was held in Changsha on November 1. It released the Report on the Blockchain Comprehensive Index of Chinese Cities in the First Half of 2020. The report used data to analyze cities’ blockchain development, striving to become a barometer and a weathervane of the blockchain industry. According to the report, Changsha’s blockchain comprehensive index ranked 6th nationwide.

    On the occasion of the upcoming 2020 Internet Yuelu Summit, the 2020 Changsha Internet Development White Paper was issued by the Changsha Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone Management Committee, the Changsha Mobile Internet and Internet Application Industrial Chain Promotion Office, and the Euronet Alliance Technology Co., Ltd. Changsha ranks sixth nationwide, and first in central China, in the updated ranking of Chinese City Internet Development Index.

    A list of China’s top 100 happiest counties and county-level cities in 2020 was released recently. Changsha County ranked third on the list, after Tonglu County in Zhejiang Province and Jiangyin City in Jiangsu Province.

    Recently, the Huiyan team from Baidu Map and Tongji University jointly released a report on the vitality of Chinese cities in the second quarter of 2020. According to the report, the country's top 10 best cities for nightlife in the second quarter were Sanya, Haikou, Nanning, Dali, Changsha, Quanzhou, Guiyang, Kunming, Hangzhou and Xi’an. Among them, Changsha ranked 5th, with a nightlife index of 23.45.

    The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) launched China’s first third-party evaluation for small and medium-sized enterprise development environment. The evaluation result for 2019 was released recently. Changsha was ranked eighth with a score of 0.582, higher than the national average of 0.517.

    Changsha was included in China’s Top 10 Better Life Cities (2019-2020), according to a ranking list released by the CCTV China’s Economic Life Survey, also known as Everyone’s Voice, Everyone’s Choice, on July 6. This is the second consecutive year for Changsha to be on the list.
