Changsha County Ranks 3rd Among China’s Top 100 Happiest Counties and County-level Cities
A list of China’s top 100 happiest counties and county-level cities in 2020 was released recently. Changsha County ranked third on the list, after Tonglu County in Zhejiang Province and Jiangyin City in Jiangsu Province.
The selection activity was hosted by the periodical office “Xiaokang”, which is run by Qiushi Journal, the organ of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), and a number of state authorities and professional institutes. The top 100 were selected from 2,657 candidates across the county based on the following items: Internet big data, county-level special research, public attitudes and expert reviews.
As one of China’s top five strongest counties and the first county in the central and west China, Changsha County enjoys beautiful scenery and superior environment. It has achieved national titles such as "National Health County", "National Garden County", and "National Ecological County". The county has been adhering to the people-centered development philosophy and striving to make people happier. It has been rated as the happiest county in China for 13 consecutive years.
Hunan’s Ningxiang City and Xupu County were also among China’s top 100 happiest counties and county-level cities this year. They ranked 24th and 72nd respectively.
