Changsha Ranks 8th in Small, Medium-sized Enterprise Development Environment Evaluation
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) launched China’s first third-party evaluation for small and medium-sized enterprise development environment. The trial assessment was organized for innovation and entrepreneurship demonstration zones in 27 provincial capital cities and 4 centrally-administered municipalities. The evaluation result for 2019 was released recently. Changsha was ranked eighth with a score of 0.582, higher than the national average of 0.517.
The evaluation rated the participators based on four aspects – competition; development elements; innovation; and, policy. Quantized data, and also enterprises’ sense of gain and satisfaction for such aspects as development environment, policy implementation, and administrative service efficiency and quality, were taken into account.
Changsha was rated 0.682 in competition environment, ranking 11th; 0.45 in development elements, ranking 20th; 0.492 in innovation, ranking 13th; and, 0.704 in policy, ranking 2nd. It has exceeded the national average level in competition environment, innovation, and policy, being in the front rank nationwide.
