Changsha Included in China’s Top 10 Better Life Cities
Changsha was included in China’s Top 10 Better Life Cities (2019-2020), according to a ranking list released by the CCTV China’s Economic Life Survey, also known as Everyone’s Voice, Everyone’s Choice, on July 6. This is the second consecutive year for Changsha to be on the list. The Top 10 Better Life Cities are: Shanghai, Changsha, Changchun, Beijing, Qingdao, Kunming, Jinan, Haikou, Shenzhen and Xiamen (listed in the order of the number of strokes of their Chinese names).
The survey was co-sponsored by the National Bureau of Statistics, China Post Group, and National School of Development at Peking University. The evaluation system is composed of three first-level indexes including sense of achievement, sense of happiness and sense of security and 21 second-level indexes. The survey was conducted by means of questionnaire survey in households and on flights, with a total of 130,000 samples. It is by far the largest survey of people’s livelihood perception in the world. According to the comprehensive data, people are generally satisfied with water and air quality, public security, medical services, education quality and urban green space.
