Places to See Flowers in Changsha

Many flower varieties are now blooming in Changsha. They include cherry and peach blossoms, and canola flowers. They turn Changsha into a wonderful world of flowers. March is a good time to relax and immerse yourself in the magnificent beauty of nature.

Changsha Landscape and Ecology Garden

Recently, 50,000 tulips at the garden have entered blooming season. The scenery is like a colorful oil painting. The tulip- and azalea-themed Changsha Spring Flower Exhibition and the 5th Azalea Tourism Cultural Festival will be held at the garden between March 20 and April 20.

Hunan Forest Botanical Garden

The 13th World Famous Flowers Eco-cultural Festival, also the 17th Cherry Blossom Festival, kicked off at the garden on March 14, and will run until May 5. Visitors can enjoy cherry blossoms, peach blossoms, azaleas, and tulips during the period.

Orange Isle

There are more than 500 plum trees of 10 varieties in the 20,000-sqm Plum Garden of Orange Isle.  

Best viewing time: February - March

Getting there: take Changsha metro line 2 and get off at Juzizhou Station 

Wangyue Park

The park has nearly 300 cherry blossom trees in the park. Most are along Tongpeng Lake, Yubi Square, and in the Hanle Area.

Dawei Mountain National Forest Park

Over 3,000 mu, or 200 hectare, of canola flowers have been in full bloom at the Hantai Community, Hanpu Neighborhood, Yuelu District, Changsha recently.
