Shiyan Lake Lantern Festival

Activities: Molten iron sparks show, lantern show, and dragon dance performances; and enjoying delicious food

New Year Activities at Changsha Fantawild Oriental Heritage Theme Park

Venue: Changsha Fantawild Oriental Heritage Theme Park, next to Yuening Avenue, Xiangshan New Village, Xiaduopu Town, Ningxiang City, Changsha
Activities: visiting a temple fair, enjoying lanterns and lion dance performances, tasting creative food and hands-on activities.

New Year Carnival
Date: 9:00-21:00, January 1, 2020 
Thousands of lanterns will light up the sky over the park.

Hands-on activities
Intangible Cultural Heritage Class by Li Wanzhen, representative inheritor of "lion head" making
Time: January 1 - January 3, 2020
Forty lion heads will be sent free of charge every day.

Hand-made works classes
Time: January 1-January 5
Hand-made works classes for traditional Chinese painting, paper, clay, and Chinese knot will open.

The Hunan Forest Botanical Garden will open to the public free of charge beginning January 1, 2020, the New Year’s Day.

How to visit:
1. Make a reservation online during major holidays and the Cherry Blossom Festival;

8th Ningxiang Huitang Hot Spring Festival

New Year’s Day Celebrations at Changsha Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition Hall

Hands-on Activities
Duration: January 1-5, 2020
Venue: Training Center, 2/F, Changsha Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition Hall
Visitors can try their hands at cutting Chinese character “Fu (happiness in English)”, writing Nvshu (women’s scripts), and making mouse dough figurines; and guess riddles.

Performances
Time: January 1, 2020 (11:00-12:00; 14:00-15:00)
Venue: Theater, Changsha Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition Hall
Programs including Flower-Drum Operas, Changsha Tanci, Hunan Opera Face Changing, Hunan Folk Tunes, Vocal Imitation, and Comedy Talk will be staged.

After passing the security check with a second-generation ID card, visitors can enter the exhibition hall.

How to get there:
