Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition at Hunan Cultural Center (July 2-15)
A painting and calligraphy exhibition was held at the Hunan Cultural Center on that day to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the founding of the magazine “Art China”. A total of 100 fine works are exhibited. The exhibition is free to the public and will last until July 15.

Over 100 Sketches Displayed at Li Zijian Art Museum (May 25-July 28)
On May 25, an exhibition of sketches by teachers and students from the Repin Academy of Fine Arts in Russia, opened at Changsha’s Li Zijian Art Museum. This is the exhibition’s fourth stop on its national tour. More than 100 sketches of various themes and styles by more than 30 painters who graduated from the Repin Academy of Fine Arts were displayed. The exhibition lasts until July 28.

A special Suzuo exhibition to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China was held in Changsha the same day. Nearly 100 outstanding Suzuo works by young Suzuo inheritors were displayed.
