  • Hunan Exhibition of Fine Arts (July 23-28)

    The Hunan Exhibition of Fine Arts opened at the Hunan Exhibition Hall that day, to celebrate the 70th founding anniversary of the People’s Republic of China, and the upcoming 13th National Exhibition of Fine Arts. More than 230 works are on display. These works present the remarkable achievements and the lifted spirit of people during the past 70 years.

  • Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition at Hunan Cultural Center (July 2-15)

    A painting and calligraphy exhibition was held at the Hunan Cultural Center on that day to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the founding of the magazine “Art China”.A total of 100 fine works are exhibited. The exhibition is free to the public and will last until July 15.

  • Xu Beihong’s Nanyang Period Works Exhibition (Apr. 27-June 15)

    On the morning of April 27, an exhibition displaying 113 original works executed by Xu Beihong during his stay in Nanyang (1939-1942) opened at the Meilun Art Museum, Changsha.

  • Photo Exhibition on Tian Han's Life Stories (May 29)

    The photo, taken on May 29, shows visitors at a photo exhibition held at the Changsha Library. The Photo Exhibition of Tian Han's Life Stories (Changsha Part) and an academic seminar on "Tian Han’s stories in Changsha" were held the same day.

  • Nearly 100 Outstanding Suzuo Works Exhibited (Apr. 23-28)

    A special Suzuo exhibition to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China was held in Changsha the same day. Nearly 100 outstanding Suzuo works by young Suzuo inheritors were displayed.

  • Urban Art Exhibition (Apr. 20-May 26)

    A special art exhibition entitled "Urban Art Exhibition-- Qinyuanchun: Changsha" opened at the Changsha Museum on April 20. It displayed 129 works by 53 artists, covering sculpture, oil painting, toner, watercolor, photography, and artistic installation.
