On the morning of April 27, an exhibition displaying 113 original works executed by Xu Beihong during his stay in Nanyang (1939-1942) opened at the Meilun Art Museum, Changsha.
Urban Art Exhibition (Apr. 20-May 26)
A special art exhibition entitled "Urban Art Exhibition-- Qinyuanchun: Changsha" opened at the Changsha Museum on April 20. It displayed 129 works by 53 artists, covering sculpture, oil painting, toner, watercolor, photography, and artistic installation.
Exhibition on Fine Jade Unearthed in Nanyang Area (Apr.19-July 21)
An exhibition on fine jade unearthed in Henan’s Nanyang area opens at the Changsha Museum on April 19. It is Hunan’s first exhibition featuring ancient jade in recent two decades. The exhibition displays 169 pieces (sets) of exquisite and rare jade ranging from the Neolithic Age (10,000 BC-2,000 BC) to the Han Dynasty (206 BC- 220 AD).
China Space Achievement Exhibition (Apr. 23-29)
The China Aerospace Achievement Exhibition to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China was held in Changsha between April 23 and 29.
Exhibition on Chinese Century-Old Comic Strips (April 2-15)
An exhibition on Chinese century-old comic strips was held in the Changsha Library the same day. The exhibition adopted a “3-in-1”pattern (board exhibition + object exhibition + digital exhibition) to showcase comic strips.
