  • 12th National Calligraphy and Seal Carving Exhibition (Nov. 26-Dec. 16)

    The 12th National Calligraphy and Seal Carving Exhibition opened at the Hunan Art Museum on November 26. This is Hunan’s first national level exhibition of its kind. A total of 361 calligraphy works, in regular script and seal script styles, are being exhibited. The exhibition will open until December 16.

  • New Media Art Exhibition at Meixi Lake Int'l Culture & Arts Center (Nov. 30-Apr. 15)

    The exhibition, created by MOTSE, an international new media art team, was unveiled at the museum that day, attracting many media reporters and residents to get a sneak preview. A total of 17 large interactive works in different artistic languages and styles are on display, presenting an artistic feast that integrates visual and architectural experiences. The exhibition will open to the public on November 30, 2019 and last until April 15, 2020.

  • Zhu Xianmin Photo Exhibition at Xie Zilong Photography Museum (Nov. 16-Feb. 9)

    The photo, taken on November 16, shows visitors view an exhibition entitled “The People’s Century: Zhu Xianmin Photography Exhibition” at the Xie Zilong Photography Museum. The exhibition opened at the museum that day, displaying 120 photographic works by famous contemporary Chinese documentary photographer Zhu Xianmin since 1963.

  • “My Motherland and Me” Paper-cut Works Exhibition (Oct. 10-Dec. 10)

    The “My Motherland and Me” Paper-cut Works Exhibition opened on October 10. It exhibits more than 70 paper-cut works by paper-cut masters including Qin Shijiao, who is a provincial representative inheritor of the folk paper-cut project. It sings the praise of the New China and promotes traditional Chinese culture.

  • “Chinese Memory: Magnum” Photo Exhibition (Sept. 28-Dec. 8)

    A photo exhibition entitled “Chinese Memory: Magnum” opened on September 28 at WHY Art Museum near Middle Xiangjiang Road, Tianxin District, Changsha. Nearly 100 works shot in China by 7 Magnum photographers are displayed, recalling the eventful years in the early days of the founding of New China. The exhibition will last until early December.

  • 2019 SRYIPC Excellent Works Exhibition (Nov. 16-24)

    On November 16, the 2019 Silk Road Youth International Photography Competition (SRYIPC) Excellent Works Exhibition was launched at the Hunan Provincial Cultural Center. A total of 150 awarded works that stood out from 160,000 entries submitted by 52 participating countries are on display.
