First Changsha Yuelu Mountain Youth Drama Festival (Dec. 4-Jan. 23)
The First Changsha Yuelu Mountain Youth Drama Festival opened at the 303 Yangguang Theater, on Yangguang 100 Fenghuang Street, Changsha on December 4 evening. It was guided by the CPC Changsha Municipal Committee Publicity Department; and hosted by the Changsha Municipal Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Radio and Television, the CPC Yuelu District Committee, and the People’s Government of Yuelu District.
Wang Xiaoying, vice chairman of the China Theatre Association; Cui Ning, Art Popularization Education Committee director of the China Association of Performing Arts; Chen Gang, Standing Committee member and Publicity Department director of the CPC Changsha Municipal Committee, and Changsha Vice Mayor Liu Mingli attended the opening ceremony.
The drama festival, with the largest scale, the longest duration and the most abundant content in Changsha, will last from December 4, 2020 to January 23, 2021. Five main activities--carnival, forums, dramas watching, exchanges and performances, will be launched during the 51-day festival.
On that evening, the 303 Yangguang Theater was awarded a plaque with the words of “Changsha Drama Performance Base” on by the Changsha Municipal Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Radio and Television. The performance of the famous drama “Love, Taking A Turn for the Better” kicked off the drama festival.
