2020 Changsha Azalea Art Festival (Nov. 28-Dec. 31)

A concert performed by the Changsha Symphony Orchestra to commemorate the 250th anniversary of Beethoven's birth was held in Changsha on November 28 evening. It also raised the curtain of the 2020 Changsha Azalea Art Festival.

As a carefully arranged art activity to benefit the people, the Changsha Azalea Art Festival has been held for 15 consecutive years. It was formerly known as the Changsha Azalea Award Professional Art Performance.

The theme of this year's azalea art festival is “Innovation Leads the Trend and Art Benefits Thousands of Families”. It was organized by the Publicity Department of the CPC Changsha Municipal Committee and the Changsha Municipal Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Radio and Television. It will last from November 28 to December 31. 

There will be ten main activities, including performances by professional art troupes; performances of classic traditional operas by opera troupes; lectures on the popularization of refined art; and, the first Changsha Yuelu Mountain Youth Drama Festival.

A total of 78 art performances, 5 themed art exhibitions, and 5 refined art lectures will be organized, covering such art categories as music, drama, and fine art.

To further promote culture for the benefit of the people, key performances and lectures will be livestreamed during the festival.
