The “East Asian City of Culture” Document Resource Center launched a development achievement exhibition at the Changsha Library on September 1.
The “East Asian City of Culture” campaign, initiated by Chinese, Japanese, and South Korean governments, is an international cultural exchange and cooperation platform. Every year, one city of each country would be selected as an “East Asian City of Culture” to host the annual cultural exchange activities. Changsha was selected in 2017, and the document resource center was established at the Changsha Library on April 19 the same year.
The exhibition displays cultural exchange and cooperation achievements over the past three years, and presents the profiles of the selected cities, especially Changsha. It is held to demonstrate the “East Asian Consciousness; cultural integration; and, mutual appreciation” spirit, and set a good example for cooperation of authorities, and nongovernmental contact among East Asian Cities of Culture.
The exhibition will open until October 13.
