Shenyang Antiques on Display at Changsha Museum (Aug. 9-Nov. 24)

An exhibition entitled “The Imperial Majesty - Daily Necessities of Court Life in the Qing Dynasty Preserved by the Shenyang Palace Museum” opened at the Changsha Museum in Changsha, capital of Central China’s Hunan province, on Aug 9.

It is jointly hosted by the Changsha Museum and Shenyang Palace Museum and displays a total of 95 sets of daily necessities used by the imperial household during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911).

Clothes, tableware, articles of daily use, furniture, and decorations used in the palace are all on display.

The exhibition teaches visitors about Qing culture and handicraft development during the Qing Dynasty. It will be open for free until Nov 24, during which the Changsha Museum will organize lectures and experiential activities.

The exhibition is open to the public free of charge until November 24, 2019.

Opening hours: 9:00-17:00 (No entry at 16:30)
Closed on Monday (except statutory holidays)

How to visit:
Visitors can either make a reservation via Changsha Museum’s official WeChat account or website, or get free tickets at the entrance with valid documents (like ID card, visa, passport).

How to get there:
-Take any of the following buses: No. 2, 237, 357, 520, 804, or 906 to get off at Beichen Times Square [北辰时代广场]
-Take any of the following buses: No. 520 or 804 to get off at Binjiang Cultural Park [滨江文化园]
-Take Changsha Metro Line 1 to get off at Beichen Delta Station [北辰三角洲站]
