Exhibition of Wu Guanzhong’s Paintings Opens in Hunan Museum

Exhibition of Wu Guanzhong’s Paintings opened at Hunan Museum on October 23, and will last until January 10, 2019. It is co-sponsored by the Hunan Museum and the Zhejiang Art Museum. Wu Guanzhong's 80 pieces of paintings collected by the Zhejiang Art Museum are exhibited, including 41 sketches, 10 oil paintings, and 29 color ink paintings donated by Wu Guanzhong and his eldest son Wu Keyu.

The exhibition curator Liu Gang introduced that Wu Guanzhong is devoted to oil painting and its nationalization. He merged Chinese traditional art elements into his oil paintings, and used the imagery expression to give the oil painting a localized beauty and oriental charm.
