"Art Changsha" bridges cultural communication
Changsha art lovers will be able to appreciate various types of art works in their hometown with the biennial event of Art Changsha starting on Dec 16 in the Hunan province capital, announced a press conference on Sept 10.
Jointly sponsored by Hunan Broadcasting System, Hunan Provincial Museum and Changsha municipal bureau of culture, radio, TV, film, press and publication, this year's event marks the the sixth art and cultural activity since 2007.
Artists from both home and overseas will showcase their works and share art insights in the city of Changsha, offering visitors the possibilities of cross-cultural communication by juxtaposing artists in the exhibition.
London-born artist and Turner Prize winner Antony Gormley will bring his signature sculptures into Changsha. He is renowned for creating sculptures and installations that explore the relationship between the human body and space.

Famous Chinese oil painter He Duoling and Yuan Wu -- a master of traditional Chinese painting, along with other noted Chinese contemporary artists, such as Pang Maokun, president of the Chongqing Artists Association and curator of the Chongqing Art Museum, will also showcase several of their works during the sixth Art Changsha event.
Art lovers can get a close-up view of the exhibitions at Hunan Tan Guobin Contemporary Art Museum and Changsha Art Museum.
The exhibition will last until Feb 26, 2018 and is free for all visitors.
