    The Hunan Housing and Urban-Rural Development Department recently issued Opinions on Promoting High Quality and Green Development of Construction Industry (hereinafter referred to as “the Opinions”). By 2020, all the newly-built civil architectures in Hunan’s central cities should meet the green building standards, and more than 30% of these buildings are prefabricated.

    The Evaluation Report on the Sustainable Development of China (2018) was released by the China Center for International Economic Exchanges (CCIEE) and the Earth Institute of Columbia University (EICU) in Beijing recently. In the latest report, Changsha ranks the 8th on the top 100 sustainable cites list.

  • Hunan Makes a Leap from a Forest Province to a Green Province

    On November 12th, the Hunan Government Information Office held its tenth press conference in Changsha for the celebration of Hunan’s 40th anniversary of reform and opening up. Director of the Provincial Forestry Bureau Hu Zhangqing announced that Hunan had made a great leap from a forest province to a green province and now embarked on its new journey towards an ecologically strong province.
