Sany-Deutz Co-developed Truck Engine Released
The “Wangdao 435” heavy truck, using the D12 engine developed by Sany, a leading construction machinery producer in China, and Deutz, the inventor of engine in Germany, was released in Changsha on July 12. Hunan is hence capable to produce core parts of heavy truck engine.
The Sany Intelligent Heavy Truck Project, also the Deutz Engine Project, was launched in last September. The D12 engine is a key part of the project. The project is located in Sany’s first wholly digital and intelligent based industrial park. It will produce 300,000 intelligent heavy trucks, 600,000 diesel engines and their core parts, and new-generation construction machineries.
Deutz was established in Cologne, Germany, in 1864. It produced the world’s first internal combustion engine, and was the first engine producer reaching the Euro 5 Emission Limits.
This China-Germany cooperative project is to set an example of intelligent manufacturing in Changsha, and promote upgrade of China’s manufacturing industrial chain.
Sany’s intelligent heavy truck is the first internet-connected commercial vehicle. Its R&D, sale, and service are based on internet. It represents Sany Group’s digitalization and intelligentization progress, and created a new model of truck business.
