World’s First “Tesla” Truck Crane Debuts in Changsha
On May 7, a 25-ton purely electric powered truck crane rolled off the production line at the Zoomlion Quantang Industrial Park in Changsha. It is the world’s first of its kind, reputed as a “Tesla” of constriction machinery.
It was named ZTC250N-EV, in which 250 refers to its weight level, and EV refers to “purely electric powered”. It features outstanding lifting performance, zero emission, pollution free, low noise, and high efficiency.
“It can achieve a maximum speed of 90 km/h, and maximum gradeability of 50%, credit to its strong power. It is economically and environmentally friendly, with a comprehensive energy cost just being 35% of the fuel-powered ones of its level. It makes noise of less than 65 db when working, and no exhaust emission,” said Wang Qitao, Zoomlion’s crane technical director. Supported by the electric powered and control platform, the crane adopts advanced intelligent technologies which enable precise operations. The range of such crane can reach 260 km per charge, which can adapt to most of operation conditions.
