Six kindergartens and 45 classes in primary and middle schools in Ningxiang, a county-level city under the administration of Changsha, became pilots of the recently opened smart education payment platform.
Supported by big data, the platform offers transparent charging standards and makes tuition payment more convenient. The payment can be done through WeChat by a mobile phone after entering the student's name and ID number. It helps both parents and teachers save time and energy, and provides more precise regulation.
The platform is a handy public service of the smart education project, part of the Ningxiang new-type smart city construction, which is jointly sponsored by the local electronic government administration office, the education bureau, the non-tax revenue bureau and the Agricultural Bank of China.
Ningxiang has targeted some breakthroughs this year in furthering reform in some difficult areas. New-type smart city construction in government affairs, traffic, education and medical treatment will be promoted to benefit the public.
